About Me

My name is James Levin and I am a recent graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland.  I have been pursuing photojournalism since my freshman year and have served 2 years as the photo editor of The Diamondback, the university’s independent student-run newspaper.

I have interned for The Baltimore Sun Media Group and worked for Capital News Service. My work has been picked up by The Washington Post, The Weather Channel, The Baltimore Sun, Cosmopolitan, and many local newspapers throughout Maryland. I have also been recognized by the Society of Professional Journalists for my images.

Beginning in September 2016 I will be traveling to Thailand to teach English as a second language. During this time I will continue to explore my love of photography and document my adventures on my blog.

Outside of work, I love to travel, watch international soccer and attempt to cook new foods.
